-WEAR MASKS FOR THE DURATION OF THE CLASS OR WORKSHOP
-NOT ATTEND CLASS IF THEY ARE EXPERIENCING COVID-19 SYMPTOMS

INSTRUCTOR LIBA LABIK
Liba grew up in the the Czech Republic with a background career as an environmentalist working for the National Park Podyji in Znojmo (South Moravian region). After immigrating to Canada, Liba graduated from ACAD (Alberta Universitry of the Arts) and established Liba Art Studio - working as an instructor and freelance artist.
She has participated in several juried group shows and her work has been represented by Westlands Art Gallery, Arts on Atlantic, and Ruberto Ostberg . She is a member of the International Encaustic Artists, Alberta Society of Artists, and Federation of Canadian Artists.
Her work explores the themes of spirituality, humanity, and nature.
DRAWING NATURE WORKSHOP
An introduction to charcoal drawing . Students will get an opportunity to draw from still life (rocks, leaves, branches etc.) as well as from photo references. Explore textures, shadows/ highlights and learn about basic perspective principles used in landscape drawing.
Day 1 - Intro to charcoal, drawing studies from still life.
Day 2 - students will pick the natural form they would like to further explore - trees, clouds, water, rocks, mountains, plants - and work towards a finished drawing.
This workshop is designed for students of all levels. Absolute beginners are welcome.
