INTRO TO WATERCOLOUR

Students will tackle a series of introductory projects learning a variety of basic watercolour techniques. Each week the course will cover different painting subjects: animals, architecture, botanicals, interiors, landscape, & portraiture. Students will learn the essentials of watercolour and how to apply them to their own artwork. Students may work from photo references or be guided through the process of working from their imagination. This course is ideal for beginners with some drawing or painting experience who are looking to broaden their skills and try a their hand at watercolour painting.
INSTRUCTOR BIO | Grace AVery-Parkman
Grace Avery-Parkman is a visual artist and illustrator currently residing in Calgary, Alberta. Grace completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Regina in 2015, and since has been exploring her studio practice, working as an illustrator, and teaching. Grace has taught numerous classes on drawing, painting and illustration. Her favorite media to work in is watercolor, and he loves creating fantastical scenes and bizarre creatures.
